Q: How did you meet?
Stacee and I met at the club, through a friend. My (Kim) friend was friends with a big group of girls in Los Angeles and took me, her little OC friend with her on a Wednesday night out to West Hollywood. Stacee was one of the girls in the group and it was instant attraction.
Q: How did you know Stacee was the one?
After we met we had a crush on each other for a year. It was very much a physical attraction, but just as much if not more a mental and personality draw. We both weren’t in the right place when we met to start dating but once our friendship had developed and the crushes only intensified is when we started dating. Our compatibility was through the charts proving to be something completely different for the both of us. We knew in the first months of dating that this was something special and we never wanted it to end.
Q: How did she propose?
Stacee knew that she wanted to ask my (Kim) dad’s permission before she popped the question. We went to his house on a Saturday night where she asked him and not 24 hours later she told me to pack my bags for an impromptu get away. Most the time this should send off alarm bells, but since I didn’t even think she had the ring yet it felt like another spontaneous adventure for us. We pulled into the Madonna Inn, went to dinner, and while I was in the shower Stac had prepared a whole set up with her guitar in front of the stone wall fire place. She serenaded with Adam Sandler’s “I Wanna Grow Old With You,” song. Then prompting herself (out loud) on what to do next, she crawled over to the chase lounge where I was seated and said some of the most beautiful words I have ever heard. I shouted YES, before she could even finish saying the words, “Will you marry me?”
Q: What was your favorite moment from your wedding?
I literally don’t have a favorite. Our wedding day turned out to be the definition of perfect to us. It was the perfect combo a celebration along with love. We always knew we would feel so much love on that day, but never expected the room to radiate so much love from our friends and family. Our day was a Sunday Funday Brunch wedding which we thought brought such a playful element to the tradtional likes of a wedding. There was a giant jenga and corn hole there to make sure everyone knew FUN was what we were looking for.
